On February 19, the Chinese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Yang Honglin met with Mr. Ibrahim, Saudi Assistant Minister of Culture and Information, former Director of Riyadh Radio Station and a renowned announcer. After their friendly conversation, Mr. Yang was interviewed exclusively by Riyadh Radio Station.

    Mr. Yang denoted that it had witnessed rapid development of Sino-Saudi relations in a huge number of areas including politics, trade, and culture, in the care of both countries' leaders since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Press from both countries had played a vital role in promoting mutual understanding and friendship. China would like to further Sino-Saudi strategic friendship through intensified cooperation between the two countries in the area of the press.

    Mr. Ibrahim denoted that press from both Saudi Arabia and China shouldered great responsibilities in bridging the two countries and peoples. The Saudi press would like to further such cooperation with its Chinese counterparts and learn from each other's successful experiences.

    In his exclusive interview, Mr. Yang spoke highly of the current Sino-Saudi relation while expressed his sincere wish to promote mutual strategic friendship and cooperation to a new height through consistent endeavors from both sides.
