Secretary General of King Faisal Centre for Research and Islamic studies expected to promote Saudi-Chinese exchanges in the areas of culture and academia

  On February 3, the Chinese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Yang Honglin met with Dr. Yahya,Secretary General of King Faisal Centre for Research and Islamic studies. They exchanged views on promoting Sino-Saudi exchanges in the areas of culture and academia.

  Mr. Yang denoted that China attached great importance to cultural and academic exchanges with Saudi Arabia. He emphasized that it was of great significance of the Chinese-Arabic Civilization Dialogue Symposium successfully hosted by the Saudi Government just months ago to promote Sino-Saudi cultural cooperation. He also expressed his firm belief that such cooperation and exchanges would be further strengthened through joint endeavors from both sides.

  Dr. Yahya denoted that cultural and academic exchanges served as very conducive means to enhance understanding between different peoples. Getting along with the consistent development of Saudi-Chinese relations, the Saudi people would like to know more about China. He emphasized that King Faisal Centre for Research and Islamic studies would like to strengthen cooperation with its Chinese counterparts and make its own contribution to the development of Saudi-Chinese relations.
