On January 27, the Chinese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Yang Honglin met with the Saudi Minister of Urban and Rural Affairs, H.R.H Prince Miteb. They exchanged opinions on strengthening Sino-Saudi cooperation in the area of infrastructure construction.

  Mr. Yang denoted that China and Saudi Arabia had become sincere friends and good partners with consistent development of bilateral relations in the care of the two countries' leaders and through endeavors exerted by the two governments. Mr. Yang spoke highly of the contribution made by Prince Miteb in promoting Sino-Saudi relations. He emphasized that China attached great importance to the vital influence of Saudi Arabia in the region and the whole world. He also expressed his wish to enhance cooperation between the two countries, with infrastructure construction in particular, on the basis of mutual respect, mutual benefits and win-win results.

  Prince Miteb spoke highly of the friendship between the two countries and the abundant achievements made by China in modernizing its economy. He denoted that Saudi-Chinese cooperation enjoyed great potential and bright prospects based on political trust and economic supplementarity between the two countries. He emphasized that the Saudi Ministry of Urban and Rural Affairs welcomed greater participation of Chinese enterprises in the area of infrastructure construction and would like to make consistent efforts to promote bilateral relations.
