Emir of Makkah Region expressed his wish to push forward Saudi-Chinese cooperation

  On January 23, the Chinese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Yang Honglin met with the Emir of Makkah Region, H.R.H Prince Khalid Faisal in Jeddah, a western seaside city of Saudi Arabia. During the cordial conversation, they exchanged opinions on strengthening mutually-beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

  Mr. Yang denoted that China and Saudi Arabia enjoyed a traditional friendship. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, mutual cooperation between the two countries had developed smoothly with links flourished in a huge number of areas including politics, trade, culture and religion. China attached great importance to the vital influence of Saudi Arabia in the region and the whole world and would like to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields with pilgrimage in particular on the basis of mutual respect, mutual benefits and win-win results.

  Prince Khalid welcomed Mr. Yang's visit toward Makkah Region and Jeddah while expressed his satisfaction to the current Saudi-Chinese relations. He denoted that it was conducive for regional and international stability to deepen Saudi-Chinese friendship and cooperation. The Makkah Region would like to further cooperation with its Chinese counterparts in the areas of trade, investment and pilgrimage and push forward the strategic friendship between the two countries.
