On January 19, the Chinese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Yang Honglin met with the Board Chairman of Hong Kong First Eastern Investment Group, Mr. Victor Chu.

  Mr. Chu presented the on-going communication and cooperation between First Eastern and Saudi banking sectors in the areas of finance and investment. He also expected support from the Chinese Embassy for the above cooperation.

  Mr. Yang briefed Mr. Chu about the current situation of Sino-Saudi relations with mutual cooperation in the areas of economics, trade and finance in particular. He also denoted that the Chinese Embassy here in Riyadh would like to exert its endeavors to render necessary assistance in furthering economic, trade and financial relations between Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia.
