President of Saudi Human Rights Commission expected to deepen Saudi-Chinese cooperation in the area of human rights

  On January 9, the Chinese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Yang Honglin met with the President of the Saudi Human Rights Commission, H.E. Mr. Turki Bin Khalid Al-Sudeiry. They exchanged views on strengthening mutual cooperation in the area of human rights.

  H.E. Mr. Yang denoted that the Sino-Saudi relations had witnessed rapid development and attained fruitful results in the care of both countries' leaders and with endeavors exerted by the two peoples. He briefed Mr. Sudeiry about China's position on the human rights issue and emphasized that China would like to enhance consultation and coordination with its Saudi counterpart in this area.

  H.E. Mr. Sudeiry denoted that Saudi Arabia viewed China as a sincere friend and vital partner. Saudi Arabia would like to deepen the Saudi-Chinese cooperation in the area of human rights based on identical or similar stand upheld by both countries on this issue.
