Saudi Minister of Agriculture expected to push forward Saudi-Chinese agricultural cooperation

  On January 6, the Chinese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Yang Honglin met with the Saudi Minister of Agriculture, H.E. Dr. Fahd Bin Abdul-Rahman Bin sulaiman Balghunaim. They exchanged views on strengthening Sino-Saudi agricultural cooperation.

  H.E. Mr. Yang denoted that the Sino-Saudi relations had stepped into a new era with rapid development since the exchange of visits between the head of state of both countries in 2006. The Sino-Saudi agricultural cooperation was an integral part of bilateral friendship with great potential and bright prospect. China would like to make concerted efforts with Saudi Arabia to learn from each other's strong points to offset each other's weakness and promote the agricultural cooperation to a new height.

  H.E. Mr. Fahd welcomed H.E. Mr. Yang Honglin's arrival as the new Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia while denoted that Saudi Arabia viewed China as a true friend. He highlighted the economical complementarities enjoyed by the two countries and pointed out the Saudi agriculture had embraced great opportunities along with the sound development of the Saudi economy in recent years. He emphasized that China was a big agricultural country with abundant experiences. Saudi Arabia would like to learn from China and make constant endeavors to enhance mutual agricultural cooperation.
