On January 6, the Chinese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Yang Honglin met with the Saudi Minister of Water and Electricity, H.E. Mr. Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al-Hosain. They exchanged views on strengthening mutual cooperation in the field of electricity and water conservancy.

  H.E. Mr. Yang spoke highly of the fruitful results attained in a huge number of areas since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. He denoted that those achievements were made in the care of both countries' leaders, with joint endeavors from the two peoples and in the spirit of mutual benefits and win-win results. He emphasized that the Chinese government would like to make constant efforts to promote Sino-Saudi relations to a new height including the cooperation in the field of electricity and water conservancy.

  H.E. Mr. Abdullah welcomed H.E. Mr. Yang Honglin's arrival as the new Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia while spoke highly of the great achievements made by China in modernizing its economy. He denoted that bilateral relations would be deepened continuously along with the furtherance of the Saudi-Chinese strategic friendship and cooperation. He also expected to strengthen ties with China and advocated the active participation of Chinese enterprises in infrastructure construction of Saudi electricity and water conservancy on the basis of mutual benefits and win-win results.
