Saudi Minister of State for Shoura Council Affairs expected to deepen parliamentary cooperation between Saudi Arabia and China

  On January 5, the Chinese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Yang Honglin met with the Saudi Minister of state for Shoura Council Affairs, H.E. Dr. Saud ibn Saeed ibn Abdul Aziz Al-Mathami. They exchanged views on strengthening bilateral relations.

  H.E. Mr. Yang denoted that the Sino-Saudi relations were long standing, which could be traced back to the time of the "Silk road". It had witnessed rapid development in recent years in the care of both countries' leaders and with joint endeavors from the two governments and peoples. He pointed out that the Sino-Saudi friendship was based on mutual respect, mutual benefit and win-win results with high political trust and economic complementarities. Not only the benefits for the two peoples, but also the good for regional stability and world peace, would it bring of further developing the Sino-Saudi relations.

  H.E. Dr. Mathami welcomed H.E. Mr. Yang Honglin's arrival as the new Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia while spoke highly of the economic achievements and fair position upheld by China on the Middle East issue. He denoted that it was the common aspiration from government to civil society to further develop the Saudi-Chinese friendship. He stressed that he himself would like to make constant efforts to deepen the parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
