On December 31, the Chinese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Yang Honglin met with the Saudi Minister of Health, H.E. Dr. Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Mane. During the friendly and cordial conversation, they exchanged views on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the area of health.

  H.E. Mr. Yang spoke positively of the achievements made by the two countries in the area of health. He expected to further such cooperation and bring substantial benefits to the two peoples based on the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Health"signed by both sides during the state visit paid by President Hu Jintao to Saudi Arabia in 2006.

  H.E. Dr. Mane warmly welcomed H.E. Mr. Yang's arrival to his new post as the Chinese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia while recalled pleasantly about his visit to China last year. He spoke highly of the Chinese achievements in the area of health and medical treatment. He denoted that Saudi Arabia would like to learn the successful experience in this area from China and consolidate the cooperation with China in the fields of medical techniques, vocational training, infrastructure building and medical staff dispatch in particular.
