On 19th, December, H.E. Mr. Yang Honglin met with the Editor in Chief of Al-Jazirah Newspaper, Mr. Khalid H. Al Malik in his office in Riyadh. During the friendly conversation, they exchanged views on furthering mutual communication and cooperation in the area of the media.

  As Ambassador Yang pointed out, the press could play an important role in developing bilateral relations between the tow countries. Press from both sides should spare no efforts to strengthen the cooperation and enhance mutual understanding between the two peoples. Mr. Khalid denoted that Saudi Arabia viewed China as a true friend. Al-Jazirah Newspaper had been exerting great enthusiasm toward the development of Saudi-Chinese relations and further endeavors would be made constantly to promote the mutual understanding and friendly cooperation.

  Al-Jazirah Newspaper, originated from a weekly and became a daily in 1972, is published and launched by Al-Jazirah Corporation for Press, Printing and Publishing. It has become one of the most influential newspapers with comprehensive coverage nowadays whose daily issuing volume has surpassed 250,000.
