Biography of H.E. Ambassador Li Huaxin

Mr. Li Huaxin graduated from Beijing Foreign Studies University, with a Bachelor degree, and completed SEF (Senior Executive Fellows) Program in Harvard Kennedy School in 2012.

Mr. Li Huaxin joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China in 1983, and worked successively in Department of West Asia and North Africa Affairs, Chinese Embassy in Iraq, Jordan and Saudi Arabia, holding the posts successively of Deputy Director, Director, Counselor, and Deputy Director General. He has served as Ambassador of China to Iraq from 2005 to 2007, Ambassador of China to Syria from 2007 to 2011, Ambassador in Department of West Asia and North Africa Affairs and Deputy Director General of Senior Diplomats Committee, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China from 2011 to 2013, and Consul General (Ambassadorial Rank) of China in Sydney from 2013 to 2016. He became Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia in May 2016.

Mr. Li Huaxin is married with one son.
